Our Approach

We take a three step approach to helping any family who is looking for guidance on the challenges they are facing with their children.

Step 1 – We will meet and catch up for an initial consultation.

Step 2 – Depending on the outcome of our conversation, we will recommend children complete a Literacy, Numeracy & Behaviour Assessment. This process allows us to take the time to understand where your child is up to in their learning and behavioural journey through a detailed assessment. The assessment involves sitting with families to understand their history and completing a series of assessment tools.

Step 3 – Parents will be given a range of options depending on the results of the child’s assessment results and situation. At this stage we will be ensuring both parent and child feel comfortable with the recommended pathway forward.

Possible options are:

One on one intervention sessions.

Liaison with service partners including schools.

Home education programs for parents.

Positive Behaviour Support plans.

Group Intervention.

As both a parent of children with learning difficulties and a professional practitioner, Fiona is uniquely qualified to assist other families and educators. Add to the mix Fiona’s passion for the area of learning difficulties, her friendly and open personality and her willingness to work cooperatively with all stakeholders – and you have a new service which I can recommend without hesitation.
